Pact for Skills
The Pact for Skills is one of the flagship initiatives of the European Skills Agenda, launched by the European Commission to support the green and digital transitions by investing in people and skills. It brings together public and private organisations committed to developing the skills needed for Europe’s industrial ecosystems, fostering collaboration between industry, education and training providers, social partners and public authorities.
Within the Textile, Clothing, Leather and Footwear (TCLF) ecosystem, the Pact for Skills provides a framework for stakeholders to work collectively to address skills shortages, anticipate future workforce needs and promote lifelong learning. Members commit to upskilling and reskilling the workforce, improving the quality and inclusiveness of training, and strengthening cooperation across the sector to ensure that skills development keeps pace with technological, environmental and societal change.
The TCLF Skills Alliance supports the objectives of the Pact for Skills by providing a platform for collaboration, sharing best practices, promoting innovative training initiatives and connecting organisations that are investing in the future of the European TCLF workforce. Through joint action, Pact members contribute to building a more competitive, resilient and sustainable sector equipped with the skills required for the challenges and opportunities ahead.
